Our Story
The story of PetSilver began in 2013 when I met a very sick puppy named Sasha that needed help, and fast.
Sasha was near death. It took emergency veterinarians and a formula I became aware of, to restore her health. Through this process, her life was restored and mine was changed forever.
While Sasha was struggling to recover her health, I began researching all-natural remedies for healing skin and eyes, as well as other conditions. I could not find what I was looking for. Everything had chemicals, scents, fillers, or unpronounceable ingredients that I was not comfortable using. Then I remembered my friend who had a natural, chemical-free remedy he used for many years to heal skin and respiratory issues in horses. It was created by his veterinarian and used an exclusive formulation of chelated silver. Silver (Ag) aids in healing skin and tissue naturally by eliminating the microorganisms that hinder the healing process. Chelated silver is also the most bioavailable of all silver sources. I began using the formula on Sasha and she started healing quickly.
It turns out this vet-created formula helps heal a multitude of ailments in animals. I talked to my friend about creating formulations specifically designed for dogs and cats. That was the beginning of the PetSilver story, ten years ago. Since then, we have created a full line of pet health and wellness products for skin & wound, teeth & gum, immune & respiratory support, ears, and even more to come.
About the Owners
My name is Dan (on left). I have enjoyed living in Louisville Kentucky for the past 30 years. I have had dogs and cats in my home for my entire life. My love of animals started early. Growing up as one of seven siblings, we always had dogs, cats, and rabbits around. This continued into adulthood. Through this, I developed a passion for helping animals live their healthiest lives.
Recently, I asked my brother Pete (on right) to join me in this exciting PetSilver Wellness adventure. Pete is also a true dog lover; having previously adopted greyhounds and more recently rescued a goldendoodle and labradoodle. He is helping me spread the word to more pet owners about the natural healing available for their pets through our line of chelated silver products. Pete’s excellent business sense and organizational skills keep me on track to fulfill my dream of helping more pets be their healthiest. He agrees that PetSilver’s healing power has been a ‘best kept’ secret for too long.
